Students at CBSE-affiliated schools in Dubai are making remarkable achievements following the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) announcement of Class 10 and Class 12 results.
Initial Log-in Challenges
However, there were complaints of login issues as students hurried to access the CBSE website at first. To check their results, students must supply information such as their exam center and school number, date of birth, and admit card roll number. Schools are currently in the process of computing overall results, despite the immediate desire to validate particular findings.
Pramod Mahajan, principal of Sharjah Indian School, shared insights into the log-in challenges faced by students. He mentioned the initial hurdles encountered due to high traffic on the website but noted a subsequent easing of the process. Meanwhile, Arogya Reddy, Principal of Ambassador School Sharjah, expressed satisfaction with the results known so far, highlighting the resolution of any doubts among teachers regarding student performance.
Examination Period and Passing Criteria
CBSE conducted the Class 10 board exams from February 15 to March 13, 2024, and the Class 12 exams from February 15 to April 2. To pass these exams, students must attain a minimum of 33% on both internal and external assessments across all subjects. Failure to meet this criterion renders students ineligible for the compartment exam.
Looking ahead, starting with the academic year 2024–2025, CBSE has announced modifications to the assessment and evaluation system for classes 10 and 12. The updated methodology emphasizes competency-focused questions more in theory exams. A circular released by the CBSE on April 3 specifies that the weight of constructed response questions will decrease from 40% to 30%.
Students in CBSE-affiliated schools in the UAE had difficulty logging into the CBSE website after the CBSE released the Class 10 and Class 12 results due to high traffic levels. To view their results, students must submit information such as their admission card roll number, date of birth, examination center, and school number. Despite the intense anticipation, schools are still in the process of combining the findings.
