Abu Dhabi Authority introduces free summer activities for retirees and families

The "Abu Dhabi Sports Summer" initiative, spearheaded by ADNEC Services Company, has the full support of the Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund.

This program, which is set to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from July 2 to August 21, is to encourage retirees and their families to engage in physical activities as a means of promoting health and pleasure throughout the retirement phase.

Commitment to Health and Happiness

The Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund is providing free entry to a variety of sports activities for retirees and their beneficiaries for the second year in a row. This program demonstrates the fund's conviction that sports are essential for preserving physical health and elevating general enjoyment, especially in retirement.

Through active participation in social, sporting, and recreational events like the Abu Dhabi Sports Summer, retirees can enhance their lives and make positive contributions to the community. This initiative is in line with the fund's mission to improve the social benefits available to its registered retirees. The fund is committed to supporting retirees and beneficiaries in adopting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Under this initiative, retirees and eligible individuals can enjoy free access to sports facilities, including football fields, paddle tennis courts, badminton courts, and the running track. Each participant can reserve these facilities for one hour per session on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5 to 7 PM. This opportunity extends to retirees and their companions, who can register for their sessions through the activities and events page on the fund's official website, www.pension.gov.ae.

Khalaf Abdullah Rahma Al Hammadi, the Director General of Retirement Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund, emphasized the continuity of this initiative, now in its second year. He highlighted that providing access to sports facilities during the Abu Dhabi Sports Summer not only enhances social benefits but also promotes a healthy and active lifestyle among retirees. This initiative enables retirees to engage actively in community events throughout the year, fostering positive community participation.

The Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund understands the value of social engagement and community involvement for retirees, in addition to physical wellness. Retirees who take part in activities such as the Abu Dhabi Sports Summer are encouraged to stay socially engaged and active members of their communities. Engaging in such activities supports retirement enjoyment and mental health, which is in line with the fund's all-encompassing retirement support strategy.

Supporting a fulfilling retirement

The Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund seeks to improve the retirement experience for its beneficiaries by making sports facilities more accessible and encouraging participation in community events. This program gives seniors chances to be physically active while also giving them a sense of purpose and belonging. Seniors are also encouraged to take up new hobbies, make connections with other seniors, and make meaningful contributions to the community, all of which improve their quality of life in retirement.

The Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund's participation in the "Abu Dhabi Sports Summer" reflects its commitment to promoting physical activity and well-being among retirees and their families. By allowing access to sporting facilities and encouraging participation in community events, the fund strives to enrich the lives of retirees and contribute to a healthier and more engaged retirement experience. This program stands as a monument to the fund's dedication to boosting social benefits and promoting a fulfilling retirement lifestyle.
