Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah and a Member of the Supreme Council, granted approval for new logos for three municipalities in the eastern province.

New Logos and Urban Initiatives

This step is intended to improve municipal identity and urban development. Kalba, Khorfakkan, and Dibba Al Hisn municipalities will now display redesigned logos, which represents a symbolic and practical advancement in the development of local governance and community identity.

The announcement of these new logos took place during the broadcast of the "Direct Line" program, which aired on various radio and television platforms. This platform provided Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi with an opportunity to communicate directly with the public, highlighting his vision for municipal enhancement and cultural preservation within Sharjah's diverse regions.

During the program, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi underscored the importance of public spaces in fostering community well-being and social cohesion. He specifically directed the Department of Planning and Survey to allocate land for the establishment of parks in every neighborhood of the central region of Sharjah. This initiative aims to provide accessible green spaces for residents, promoting physical and mental health benefits while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of urban areas.

Renaming of the Qalaa Mosque

In a gesture honoring cultural heritage and historical significance, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi authorized the renaming of Qalaa Mosque in Kalba to Khor Kalba Mosque. This decision reflects the mosque's deep-rooted ties to the local community and its geographical connection to the Khor Kalba area. By renaming the mosque, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi aims to preserve and celebrate the cultural identity of Kalba while honoring its historical landmarks.

Commitment to Urban Development and Heritage Preservation

These recent initiatives exemplify Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi's commitment to sustainable urban development and cultural preservation across Sharjah. By introducing new logos for municipalities, the Ruler aims to strengthen local governance and civic pride, fostering a sense of belonging among residents of Kalba, Khorfakkan, and Dibba Al Hisn. The emphasis on public spaces and parks reflects his vision of creating vibrant, livable communities that prioritize the well-being of citizens.

The adoption of new logos for Sharjah's eastern municipalities, alongside initiatives to enhance public spaces and preserve cultural heritage, signifies a proactive approach to urban governance under Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi's leadership.

These measures are poised to positively impact residents by improving infrastructure, fostering community engagement, and honoring local history. Moving forward, they pave the way for continued progress in urban planning and cultural sustainability across Sharjah, setting a precedent for municipalities seeking to prioritize identity, heritage, and quality of life in their development strategies.
